Does DraftKings or FanDuel have the better app?
When it comes to mobile betting, we found that DraftKings’ app worked a little nicer than the FanDuel app. Again, it was a close call as both apps were available on iOS and Android devices and they both made it fast and easy to bet on sport.
However, we felt that the DraftKings app looked and felt a little cooler than the FanDuel app. With its stark white and blue color palette, the FanDuel app looked like an online banking app, whereas the sleek blacks and greens of the DraftKings app felt much more stylish.
Beyond these superficial concerns, each app basically did the same thing. All of this means that you could happily download the DraftKings or FanDuel app and get a safe and fun way to bet on your favorite sport.
Is DraftKings or FanDuel better for making payments?
You’ll find that DraftKings offers a slightly larger range of payment methods compared to FanDuel. This means that you can make deposits at DraftKings with the likes of an ACH bank transfer, credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, Play+, wire transfer, a VIP preferred e-check or even via cash at a casino cage.
To be fair, the bulk of these payment providers were featured at FanDuel. Plus it’s worth noting that we found that the payouts at FanDuel tended to be a little faster than what you get at DraftKings. This could have just been a one-off and it’s worth noting that both sportsbooks will pay you your winnings in just a handful of working days.
Ranking the betting odds and spreads at DraftKings and FanDuel
So this is where we get serious and examine the betting odds and spreads on offer at these sportsbooks. The first thing that we noticed was how DraftKings and FanDuel give you a seemingly limitless number of bets for all of the biggest US sports. Whether it’s for the NBA, NFL, NHL or MLB, you’ll find plenty of room for hunting value in lines ranging from money line and points spread to totals, player props and so on.
One thing that gave FanDuel a slight edge here was the way in which you could build a Same Game Parlay pretty easily, plus you could bet on some smaller sports like rugby league at FanDuel which is something that we didn’t see at DraftKings.
In terms of the actual betting odds, it was neck and neck again. We took a look at an NBA game between the Chicago Bulls and the Philadelphia 76ers and found that there were exactly the same odds and spreads in terms of the money line. There might be a bit more variation in some of the more unusual bets, but it was hard to find any odds and spreads discrepancies that were too significant.
It’s something that’s repeated in the live betting platforms where DraftKings and FanDuel both give you a fast and fun way to bet live on sports like soccer, tennis and so on. One thing that we noticed here was the fact that FanDuel had live streaming of some sporting events which could offer a more attractive way to put down your live bets. But on the whole, both DraftKings and FanDuel will give you a great way to bet on your favorite sport.
