Welcome to our guide that simply asks the question of whether DraftKings or Caesars is better for sports betting. Take a look below to see what we discovered!
DraftKings vs Caesars isn’t the only battle between sportsbooks going on at the moment, but it’s one of the most interesting. After all, these are two major brands that have plenty of financial muscle for putting on some great odds and bonuses. So let’s see what happened when we asked which is better DraftKings or Caesars!
DraftKings has been one of the top dogs in the sports betting industry for a long time now. They excel in offering both high quality betting markets and a top of the range fantasy sport experience.
They are trustworthy, reliable and overall just quality. See our full Draftkings sportsbook review for more information on them as an individual.
Caesars sportsbook launched back in 2020 but expanded even further in April of 2021 when they acquired William Hill. They rebranded the William Hill sportsbooks in the US to Caesars and used their technology and expertise to become one of the market leaders.
For both real life betting and online betting they are a great option. We have a full Caesars sportsbook review available to give you even more insight.
In 2024 there are so many things that go into a brilliant sportsbook app. To make this fair we are going to compare the two in every department that web see as crucial to the sportsbook experience.
These being:

This is the question. For sports betting purely we would choose Caesars. They have better odds in most cases, a more rewarding VIP program and more payment methods. So if you’re looking for a straight up sports betting app then go with Caesars.
DraftKings are still phenomenal as well. There isn’t loads in it, if you;re looking for a top class betting app with a fantasy program then DraftKings is your place.
Welcome bonuses are one of the biggest parts of sports betting sites in 2024. They are in no way the be all and end all but they are essentially what gets you through the door so they are quite important.
Both of these sites offer handsome sign up bonuses. Here is how they look side by side:
Feature | DraftKings | Caesars |
---|---|---|
Welcome Bonus | Up to $1,000 in a deposit match bonus | Up to $1,100 in a risk-free first bet |
Minimum Deposit | $5 | $10 |
Bonus Release | Credited after you meet deposit/play requirement | Credited after first bet settles |
Expiry Period | 30 days | 30 days |
Wagering Requirements | Must wager a certain amount to release bonus funds | No wagering requirements on risk-free bet |
Additional Offers | Sporadic promotions for existing customers | Loyalty rewards program and ongoing promotions |
Below is a rundown of all the payment methods you can expect to see at both of these sportsbooks:

PayPal | Yes | Yes |
Online Bank Transfer | Yes | Yes |
ACH/eCheck | Yes | Yes |
Prepaid Card | Yes | Yes |
Play+ | Yes | Yes |
Cash at Casino Cage | No | Yes |
PayNearMe | Yes | Yes |
So the question beckons, which site is better for payments? Well the answer is both really, they both offer a pretty similar experience when it comes to payment methods. The only difference we noticed was DraftKings' longer withdrawal time.
They state that it can take up to five days which is less than Caesars who say 1-2 but in our experience they both took a very similar amount of time. Just worth noting that it could take longer at DraftKings.
It’s a $1 minimum withdrawal at DraftKings and with Caesars whilst both will ask for a minimum of $10 for deposits.
Overall there really is nothing to split these two with regards to payments.
The app is a key part of a sportsbook or any betting product in 2024. In 2022, the DraftKings app was downloaded 4.9 million times according to AppMagic. More and more people are using apps as opposed to websites and retail sportsbook locations.
So the question is, what goes into a good sports betting app? Well the key aspects are:
Both of these are very hard to split when it comes to these but we have managed to rank them on each. Take a look:
Feature: | DraftKings App | Caesars App |
---|---|---|
Design: | ❌ | ✅ |
Functionality: | ✅ | ❌ |
Sports coverage: | ✅ | ❌ |
Odds: | ❌ | ✅ |
Availability: | ✅ | ❌ |
Reward schemes: | ❌ | ✅ |
Welcome bonus: | ✅ | ❌ |
Overall, we’d have to say the experience was better at DraftKings, but it’s not an overwhelming difference.
Both bookies offer a relatively similar experience when it comes to signing up for a sportsbook. They’ll ask for the basic information such as:
The experience is pretty much identical so it’s hard to say that one beats out the other here.
Welcome bonuses are great but what about a month in when you’ve claimed it? The best sportsbooks will still offer promos to existing customers as well as the new ones. Both have nice loyalty programs.
At Caesars, you can connect your account to the Caesars reward program where you can redeem rewards for your loyalty.
DraftKings have a similar get-up with their ‘Dynasty Rewards’ program. You earn points with each bet which can be claimed for cash and more.
Overall we have to give this one to Caesars, their program is probably the best in the country. It’s simplicity combined with the quality of the rewards make it very hard to beat.
Let’s get one thing clear and that's that both DraftKings and Caesars are excellent at sports betting. You’ll find amazing odds and spreads here for anything from a massive NFL game to a range of global sports.
If there were any notable differences, it was that Caesars covered a few more niche sports like softball and snooker, but there wasn’t much in it.
We took a look at an upcoming NBA game and found that both sportsbooks were evenly matched in their money line and spread bets. Caesars made things interesting with some cool double-double and triple-double player props bets, and we loved how easy it was to make a same game parlay or add an odds/spreads boost on specific markets.
To be fair, we found that it was a similar deal in our DraftKings sportsbook review where you got all of the player props and game props you’ll ever need. It was also simple to build up an outrageous same game parlay, although we saw a little less choice in terms of odds boosts.
The markets offered are basically the same at these two. But, Caesars allow you to stream NBC’s Sunday Night Football right from the app, so they just about win this category. But not everyone needs to stream the game on their betting app, so it just depends on your needs.
Both sites offer a great experience when it comes to NBA betting whether it be regular season, playoffs or finals. There are plenty of promos to make use of including free bet offers and boosted odds. But when you look at the odds offered it’s Caesars who have the better value most of the time.
When it comes to live betting, each site has its own perks. DraftKings on the whole offered a wider array of bet types in the live arena in our experience, but Caesars offered live markets on more sports and tournaments. So it really depends on what you’re after. We’ll call this a tie.
These sportsbooks offer you a good example of the kind of customer service that you should be looking for. This is because they make it easy to get in touch and the customer support you receive is always friendly and professional, here are the options:
Customer Support Option: | DraftKings Sportsbook | Caesars Sportsbook |
---|---|---|
Live Chat | Available via website and mobile app Response Time: Typically within a few minutes |
Available via website and mobile app Response Time: Typically within a few minutes |
Email Support | Available 24/7 and usually respond within 24 hours | Available 24/7 and usually respond within 48 hours |
FAQ Section | Comprehensive FAQ section on website | Comprehensive FAQ section on website |
Each sportsbook tends to prioritize its live chat service as these offer you perhaps the speediest way of getting your queries resolved.
You’ll also find some detailed help centers at each of these online sportsbooks. We found the DraftKings help center packed in perhaps too much information, while Caesars seemed to have an intuitive understanding of the kinds of information you might be looking for.
One of the best abilities is availability and as you’d expect- these two sportsbooks are widely available here in the US. Below are all of the states that each is available in. If yours isn't on the list then keep posted and we’ll update you when they are.
