DraftKings has also taken a different approach to some other sportsbooks which are about impressive graphics and getting in your face with everything they have to offer at once. While there is nothing wrong with this, and the ones that do it are clearly successful, DraftKings has gone for something a little more utilitarian.
If you wanted to be critical, you could use the word ‘drab’, but ‘no nonsense’ and ‘easy to use’ might be more accurate, as the website (we’ll look at the app on a moment) is intuitive and even if it were your first time, you would have little trouble finding what you needed, whether it was looking top right for your account details or simply placing a bet.
To see which markets are available for any event, you select your sport from the right-hand menu. As you would expect, the ‘headline’ sports like the NFL and NBA are listed at the top rather than the list being in purely alphabetical order. Clicking on any one of these will show you the games or matches, and through those, you can find the available markets. Everything we saw tallies up with what you would see in other sportsbooks
It’s much the same story with the odds and lines, where the random sample test we did found that what you’ll see at DraftKings Arizona matches what you’d see elsewhere. However, DraftKings offers odds/lines boost tokens for specific wagers that can improve the return on a successful wager. In addition to this, there is the same game parlay option, which combines all of the wagers for the same event into a parlay to boost the odds and lines if all bets are successful.
All of the markets available normally are also available after the event starts, so there is a considerable range on offer. None of the live betting we saw was accompanied by live streaming, although the event in question would have been on TV anyway, so this was not a huge problem.
Live betting is also where the app comes into its own. If we had been watching the game in a bar, it would have been quick and easy to place a bet, especially if the markets were already in the quick links. The app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play, or directly from DraftKings Arizona if you prefer.
Offering plenty of payment options is usually a sign that an operator has one eye on the needs of the customer, and DraftKings certainly ticks that box. You can fund your account with card payments or the preferred method of bank deposit. You can also use PayPal, VIP Preferred, or Play+ and cash if you pay it in at an approved retailer. The minimum deposit here is $10, but $100 if you want to use a wire transfer.
It's worth knowing that you can no longer use credit cards for deposits on Sportsbook, DraftKings Casino, and GNOG products, which has been in place since August 25th. They do, however, remain available as a payment option for Fantasy Sports in jurisdictions where allowed.
Withdrawal methods are the same, with the exception of cards and cash (unless you visit an affiliated casino), but the DraftKings withdrawal time can take five days or more.
If it takes too long, however, you will need to contact customer service, and this is one area where DraftKings could perhaps do a slightly better job. This is not to say that support is bad; it’s not just as stellar as the rest of what it has to offer.
The lion’s share of the work is done here by what is an excellent help page, which will get you the right answer 99% of the time. However, the remaining 1% is likely to be extremely important, and there is no phone support, only the option to leave a message.
DraftKings launched in AZ in September 2021 as one of the first sports betting licenses for the state, so the answer to ‘is DraftKings legal in Arizona?’ is yes. As a new operation, there are no awards to speak of, but areas of the site are also available in Spanish for those who prefer. SSL security is in place for transactions and data, as you would expect in an industry where customer confidence is so vitally important, so this is another important box ticked for DraftKings Arizona.
Sportsbooks will usually have a DraftKings bonus bet offer and a rewards program of some description, and DraftKings has this box ticked, too. You get points (although here they are called ‘crowns’) for everything you do at the sportsbook and fantasy sports area, and these can get you DK Dollars (site credits) and other prizes according to where you are in the rewards program.
The bottom level is bronze, and you’ll progress from here through silver and gold to onyx, and a possible invitation to become a VIP, where you get fast-tracked through all of the normal processes at the sportsbook. In addition to this, there are other smaller promos for specific events, and these will change with the various sporting seasons. However, the refer a friend scheme works all year round and will get both you and them a bonus bet up to $100 when they make their first deposit.
What this all adds up to is some of the best all-round sportsbook promo codes and experiences we’ve seen, especially if you like things straightforward and simple. The site is unfussy, with a simple bonus to use at your leisure, and an app that means placing a wager on the move is every bit as easy as it is on the desktop site.
If you wanted to be critical, you could point out the lack of phone support, but otherwise, this operator ticks all of the boxes. Overall, DraftKings sportsbook AZ has plenty to recommend it, and you should take a look yourself.
Bonus bets are usually part of a sportsbook bonus, and DraftKings offers $200 + 3 Months of NBA League Pass! in Bonuses for new customers who place a $5+ wager.
