Burrow goes down, Bengals win without him
The Bengals pulled out a 31-27 victory over the Jaguars, but the celebration didn’t last long. Joe Burrow left with a toe injury now feared to be Grade 3 turf toe, and reports say surgery will sideline him for about three months. Backup Jake Browning came in and led a 92-yard game-winning drive capped by a QB sneak with :19 left. Cincinnati will now lean on Browning to keep them afloat until Burrow can return.
Baker’s magic continues in Tampa
Two weeks, two game-winning drives. Baker Mayfield worked his magic again, orchestrating an 80-yard march in the final seconds to lift the Bucs over the Texans. He slipped out of a would-be sack, scrambled for a first down, and set up Rachaad White’s winning score with six ticks on the clock. Tampa’s new RB duo of White and rookie Bucky Irving combined for 136 rushing yards to balance out Mayfield’s clutch arm.
Chargers defense locks down Raiders
The Bolts’ defense came out firing, Daiyan Henley picked Geno Smith on the first play, and the unit never let up. Los Angeles racked up three INTs, three sacks, and held the Raiders under 220 yards in a 23-9 win. Justin Herbert added two more touchdown passes, including a 60-yarder to Quentin Johnston, as the Chargers grabbed early control of the AFC West.
