Packers Outclass Commanders in Thursday Night Football
Green Bay looks every bit like a contender. The Packers handled Washington 27-18 at Lambeau, leaning on a balanced offense and suffocating defense that left Jayden Daniels scrambling all night.
Jordan Love tossed for 292 yards and two TDs, while Josh Jacobs powered in his 10th straight rushing score, a franchise record streak. Tight end Tucker Kraft had a breakout night, hauling in six passes for 124 yards and a touchdown, flashing why he could be one of the NFL’s top tight ends this season.
Micah Parsons once again impacted the game everywhere, even when the box score didn’t pop. He pressured Daniels, forced penalties, and added half a sack. Keisean Nixon also stepped up, breaking up five passes while leading a secondary that shut down Washington’s passing attack.
The Commanders never found their footing. Daniels had only 49 passing yards at halftime and finished with 200, while the run game was stuck at 51 yards total. To make matters worse, Washington saw multiple starters exit with injuries, including Austin Ekeler (Achilles), Deatrich Wise Jr. (quad), and John Bates (groin).
Washington fought late, Deebo Samuel’s touchdown and a two-point conversion kept it close, but the Packers controlled this one wire-to-wire.
