Lamar Jackson made his long-awaited return Thursday night, and even at less than full strength, he looked like the same game-changer Baltimore’s offense has been missing. The two-time MVP, back from a four-week hamstring injury, threw four touchdown passes as the Ravens rolled past the Dolphins 28–6 on Thursday Night Football.
Jackson looked cautious running the ball but didn’t need to rely on his legs. His precision and poise through the air were more than enough to lift the Ravens to their second straight win. Now 2–5 after a 1–5 start, Baltimore suddenly looks like a team that could make a second-half push in the AFC North.
For Miami, it was another disastrous showing in what’s become a lost season. The Dolphins fumbled deep in their own territory, missed a field goal, and committed costly penalties throughout the first half. Their offense moved the ball in spurts but never reached the end zone, and frustration mounted as mistakes piled up.
Baltimore’s defense, which struggled early in the year, has turned a corner. The unit held Miami to just six points and forced multiple drives to stall out. In the third quarter, Jackson connected with Charlie Kolar and Rashod Bateman for touchdowns to put the game away for good.
The Ravens have a long weekend to rest and get Jackson fully healthy before their next matchup. After Thursday night, one thing is clear, with Lamar back, Baltimore’s season is far from over.
