The Toronto Blue Jays are one win away from a championship after a dominant 6–1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 5 at Dodger Stadium. Toronto came out swinging, literally, as David Schneider and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. opened the game with back-to-back home runs off Blake Snell, setting the tone early.
Blue Jays rookie Trey Yesavage was sensational on the mound, going seven innings with 12 strikeouts, allowing just three hits and one earned run. The Dodgers’ lone bright spot came from Enrique Hernández, who homered in the second inning, the only run L.A. could muster all night.
Toronto now leads the 2025 World Series 3–2, reclaiming home-field advantage as the series shifts back north to Rogers Centre.

It’s been a series full of drama, from Ohtani’s record-breaking performances to Freeman’s 18th-inning walk-off, but now it all comes down to whether Toronto can finish the job in front of their home crowd.
Stay tuned for Friday night. The Blue Jays could clinch their first World Series title since 1993.
