In one of the wildest Thursday night games of the season, Joe Flacco, traded to the Bengals just nine days ago, turned back the clock and handed the Steelers a stunning 33-31 loss.
Flacco threw for 342 yards and 3 TDs, including a clutch final drive capped by an Evan McPherson game-winning field goal with seven seconds left. His top target, Ja’Marr Chase, broke a team record with 16 catches for 161 yards, while Tee Higgins added a touchdown and the key sideline grab to set up the win.
Aaron Rodgers played well for Pittsburgh, tossing four touchdowns (including a 68-yarder to Pat Freiermuth late in the fourth to take the lead), but his two early interceptions, one ripped away by D.J. Turner II, proved costly.
The loss drops the Steelers to 4-2 and tightens up the AFC North, while Flacco’s surprise performance breathes new life into Cincinnati’s season. Expect some tension when these teams meet again in Week 11.
