UFC Fight Night results: Moreno dominant, Namajunas blows lead

Brandon Moreno won in the main event of UFC Fight Night: Edmonton, dominating Amir Albazi.

The two-time UFC flyweight champion put on a vintage performance as he battered Amir Albazi for the full 25 minutes, winning with wide scores of 50-45 from two judges and 49-46 from one. With the impressive victory, Moreno snapped his two-fight skid and remained a top contender as he also handed the surging Albazi his first ever defeat in the UFC.

In the co-main event, Rose Namajunas started out very strong by winning the first two rounds, but Erin Blanchfield showed some heart and pulled off a gutsy comeback. Blanchfield was losing the earlier striking exchanges, when she found a way to get on top and to turn the tide and win the final three rounds.

Namajunas, the former UFC strawweight champion, has now dropped to 2-2 since moving up to flyweight.

Who won performance bonuses at UFC Edmonton?

Winning Performance of the Night bonuses and receiving an extra $50,000 are Jasmine Jasudavicius, Dustin Stoltzfus, Charles Jourdain, and Youssef Zalal.

UFC forgoed giving their usual Fight of the Night bonus for this event. Instead, the promotion gave performance of the night bonuses to those four fighters for scoring finishes earlier in the card.

Jasmine Jasudavicius landed a nice darce choke over Ariane da Silva, while Stoltzfus knocked out Marc Andre Barriault in the main card. In the prelims, both Jourain and Zalal finished their bouts by chokes.
