Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic will finally collide tonight at UFC 309, and the spot for the live results and highlights is right here.
The UFC's heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, is set to defend his belt in tonight's main event against arguably the greatest heavyweight of all-time, Stipe Miocic. This matchup was originally scheduled for November of last year, but a Jones injury resulted in the delay that brought it to tonight. In the UFC 309 co-main event, there is a stellar rematch between former UFC lightweight king, Charles Oliveira, and former Bellator champion, Michael Chandler.
The UFC 309 PPV main has plenty of other meat on the bone, as three-time NCAA wrestling champion, Bo Nickal, looks to remain undefeated against savvy submission specialist, Paul Craig. Before that, flyweight Karine Silva will also attempt to remain perfect in the UFC when she tangles with fellow Brazilian, Viviane Araujo. Opening up the UFC 309 main card, 10-1 Fighting Nerd, Mauricio Ruffy, will clash with a heavy short notice opponent, James Llontop, who missed weight.
** Middleweight matchup between Chris Weidman and Eryk Anders has been cancelled due to an undisclosed Anders illness.
All of these UFC 309 matches can be seen on ESPN+, with the early preliminary card kicking off from Madison Square Garden at 6:00 p.m. ET, the regular prelims beginning at 8 p.m. ET, and the PPV main card starting at 10 p.m. ET.

Jon Jones is considered by many to be the overall MMA G.O.A.T. while Stipe Miocic is commonly referred to as the greatest UFC heavyweight of all-time. It was at 205-pounds where Jon Jones earned the bulk of his accolades, before moving up in weight to capture the UFC heavyweight crown with a quick submission over Ciryl Gane last March. This will Jones' first heavyweight title defense, and win or lose, perhaps his last. The future Hall of Fame'er made it clear that he has no interest in facing Tom Aspinall, and is prepared to vacate his title if necessary.
It's been a long time since Stipe Miocic has competed inside of a UFC Octagon. His last appearance was back in March of 2021 at UFC 260: Miocic vs. N'Gannou 2, where he was knocked out by Francis N'Gannou in the second round. Stipe's last victory occurred way back in in August of 2020, where he won a unanimous nod against Daniel Cormier in their trilogy match. It'll be interesting to see how much cage-rust will be a factor here, if at all.
The co-main event to Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic promises to deliver fireworks. Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler are running it back, with both guys looking to return to the win column. Their first was downright amazing, with Chandler hurting Oliveira early, but was unable to close the deal. In true Chucky Olives fashion, he rallied and ultimately finished Chandler with strikes early in the second.
Oliveira is a straight up killer, and reeled off a wicked 11-fight winning streak, that ended with him relinquishing his lightweight title to the current champ, Islam Makhachev. Chucky Olives rebounded by stopping Beneil Dariush with another sensational finish, but then dropped a razor thin split decision to Arman Tsarukyan at the historic UFC 300.
Michael Chandler is in a bit of a rough patch. He has only won one fight out his last four, with that lone victory being a knockout of the ghost of Tony Ferguson. To be fair, Chandler has been losing tot he best in the world; Charles Oliveira, Justin Gaethje, and Dustin Poirier. The real sad part is how long Chandler has sat on the sideline, getting strung along as he waited for a 'red panty night' with Conor McGregor that never transpired.
